The NB-generation Miata is one of the best driver’s cars ever made, and this one is the right kind: hard to find, rust-free, low-mile, unmodified, and looking great. If you’ve owned one before, you already know. If you haven’t, this needs to be on your bucket list.

These cars have earned their reputation with car magazines and enthusiasts for one simple reason: they are pure fun. Not a speed demon, just a perfectly balanced little roadster made for twisty roads, spring drives, and top-down cruising through the hills and country. They’re light on their feet, easy to enjoy, and somehow hard to improve on — plenty of folks have tried, and plenty of “kid racer” builds have missed the point.

What we have here is a 2002 Silver Mazda Miata with only 107k miles, and it comes out of Georgia, so the body stays rust-free. The paint isn’t perfect, but it’s darn good for the age. It’s paired with a 5-speed manual transmission — the only way these cars should be built — and everything works as it should. The body is sound, the suspension feels good, and the tires still have plenty of life left.
